Yes have seen that video, I think he corrected his statements (he was wrong).

From what Ive read, I havent seen in person, there are some good 270 awnings out there.
Alu-cab is probably a stronger awning than the 30sec. Theres also another aussie one`, I forget the name which is pretty tough, but they cost 2x as much as the 30sec and weigh a lot more.

    Andrew White.

I actually think he's pretty knowledgeable.
    Especially for a SAF-er. (joke)

I spent 5 years in Botswana and 9 all up in Africa.
He makes some good points, if you live in Africa your vehicle needs to be set up differently than Aus.
And I dont mean, the suspension etc.... I mean barred windows, anti-theft devices, Roof top tents etc...

Each to their own. I liked his Ineos Grenadier videos.

I used to subscribe, and was a Patreon for a bit. His knowledge and film making skills are considerable. He did quite a few vids with Paul Marsh which are good. He sorta lost me when he moved to Aus and thought he knew more than we did, and when he became all Toyota preachy. But I sometimes go back and watch his African travels. He made me want to go to Botswana, and if we are ever allowed to travel I still might.

I haven't seen his Ineos stuff. I'll go and look.

    It is.

I thought of freighting a car to Namibia ( approx $5K. ) and driving my way to Botswana, Zambia and on to Tanzania. I hear Botswana is one of the best democracies in Africa, and you can get out of your car in the wildlife parks.
