I have the same style table but mine has a different base than the traditional style. Mine has a cross braced frame that is the same as many of the camp chairs. I bought mine from Supercheap Auto.

The benefit of this base is the more weight or load you put on it the more stable it will be! The build quality isnt that great, but it works well and folds up well.

As for stoves we use a coleman stove attachment and the standard disposal gas cannisters. These if they have a good butane/propane mix generate a lot of heat and work well. We use a Hillbilly stove shroud which funnels the heat onto the pot rather than dissapating into the atmosphere. Also very handy on windy days when you need a coffee!

a couple years back i picked up one of those 6ft blow-mold tables... a brilliant piece of kit that gets used constantly... can take 140kg of weight i think the info said at the time.... it's one of the ones that folds in half and slips in the trailer or on the floor of the disco no problems at all.

I had one of the roll type ones you have and think threw it away after the second use... Camo on here has a plastic fold in half unit about half the size of mine but has extendable legs on it to change heights.

and i have a metal folding one which sits beside my BBQ for all the sauces and spices

I have one of those. Has 3 heights and folds reasonably compact for packing away.

I get back problems doing light work while bending over and like the high level that this table adjusts to.

The medium height is good for eating meals.

I also have a blow-mold table & think its great, dont think youll get a quicker table 2 set up & its very stable. Although mines only the 4 foot jobbie but fits perfectly across the back of the Disco width ways,& cheap

Just bought a new Coleman table similar to an ironing board in the way it erects with about 5 height settings, very low to "normal height". Its a bit over a metre long by half as wide, off white in colour some sort of quality "plastic" with steel powder coated legs. Quite light, very easy to erect, stable & only $44, highly recommend. We bought it at the new Camping World in Albany on recent holiday so would be available anywhere.

Had the alloy roll up for many years,infact one of the first as we imported them from the US before China started to make they were $89 back then. Lately hard to pull down base legs not smoothly sliding closed, can't work out why, if it was wood I'd say it was swollen with damp?

I have 2 of them and I've worn out 4 of those fold up tables and still keep buying them. Great piece of kit I use them almost every weekend.

Thanks for your feedback guys, we currently use the rollup aluminium one but i find it too short and get a sore back like someone else said.
