I reckon could eat them with anything!
Another brilliant Yorkshire thing that my relo's got me hooked on was a slice of fruit cake topped with a slice of Stilton

Easiest way to make at home is to use a 12 cup muffin pan, half fill each cup with oil and pre heat in the oven. Once hot and just about smoking pull out and pour batter in and pop back in the oven for maybe 10 mins or so. Pudding batter is pretty much like crepe batter although you can use some beef stock to flavour if you want. NM, they really arent any different to say a crispy pancake - unless its beef flavoured.
NM,
I've just gotten a relo from East Yorkshire to send me a good recipe for individual ones. She makes them into a nice dessert by serving them with golden syrup and custard - beats the hell out of "plain damper" and pancakes:D:D:D!!!
I'll post it up when the email arrives.
yum!!!!

I love Yorkshire Pudding and also Dumplings.
Havent had either for years.
Dunno how to make them now.
These days I seem to eat just to stay alive rather than for pleasure. Pity.
