coffee on the stove

I would suggest looking at an aero press for on the go coffee. It makes better coffee then my fully auto machine [not as good as my manual] and is super quick and easy to clean up. All you need is your hot water and ground beans and your away.

It is strong and has no valves or seals to break. And comes in at about $55 bucks.

Waynep, I bought a mukka yesterday from a shop on Lygon street, was $125 for the large one its on the west side of Lygon street about 20 south of Faraday street, can't remember the name of the place. just having my morning cappacino as I type!

Well after reading these posts and drinking Ricey's percolated coffee out bush I went an brought one same as RonMc's ( I like gauges as well)

so any tips on makeing a good cuppa Ron ? do you use yours on an electric hot plate as well ?

Tony, for some reason they do work better on gas flame, especially the Mukka machine, the one you have may be different because it's stainless, but our cast one does seem to work better on a flame.

Trial and error is the best way to make a good coffee Tony:D

I only use it on a gas flame.
When we are in a Caravan Park, I use the electric Espresso Machine :)

The Bellman works best with gas as it is far hotter than electric can dish out. The more heat the quicker you get your cuppa. Just make sure it is not too hot when you put the water through the coffee, or it will burn the brew and make it taste terrible :eek:

So far, I have not had a bad cup of coffee from it :D

well it works well, on the electric hot plate, SWMBO got a bit peeved with the camping stove on the kitchen bench, the gas is faster but more pain on the ears, still hav'nt mastered the steam milk thing yet but the coffee is great
