    when you do, could you please post some pics of the mounting system, as my rack is somewhat different to most.

    Well, our rooftop tent has been and gone within the last week. Unfortunately the shipping company managed to damage it in transit, putting 2 holes though the aluminium base as well as several dents/creases. I didn't even really get a chance to open it right up and have a look.

    While we are deciding on whether to risk another Ebay roof top tent purchase, we're going to take a look at some touring tents as an option (Oztent, Oz Trail Touring tents etc).

    Sorry Crump, I didn't get any pics of the mounting system, but you do get a bit of a look at it on their Ebay ad - the mounting beam can be attached to the tent base in either direction, depending on how it needs to sit on your roof rack.
