Thread: single pole tourer VS blackwolf turbo's

I mentioned the fact that steeper wall give you more floor area where you can stand up. Looking closely at your last pic makes me realise I should have added that it also gives you more usable floor area for sleeping.

The slope on the walls means you have to keep back away from the walls unless you want your sleeping bag to rub against the walls. Not a good idea when it's raining.

With steeper walls you can get closer without touching.

Have used centre poles for years when we operated camping coach tours round the centre and as a commercial product found them to be pretty well bullet proof. If the general public can't wreck them then nothing will!
But personally, Mrs ZD and myself, when not swanning around in a caravan, use the Black Wolf Turbo lite mainly for the convenience of transport size, weight and dimensions, both internal (living) and external (packed). We are getting to the age now where sleeping on the ground is okay as long as one doesnt have to get up again, but, wishing to be able to get up again we now use stretchers and they fit comfortably in the Black Wolf whereas they were crowded in the centre pole.
Remember, any tent is good in good weather, its the foul weather where a tent proves its worth.
Horses for courses Josh, and remember, not everyones needs are the same. Evaluate your, and your partner's needs first, then make a decision based on those requirements and all should be happy.
Every one is going to tell you that the one that they have is the best, simply because for their needs they believe it to be so, and no-one is going to admit mistakingly buying a second class product.
