Coleman Camp Ovens - Any good?

Just saw another thread on camp ovens, and I remembered I was going to ask if anyone has used a Colemans "flat pack" oven:

    http://www.colemanaustralia.com.au/t...tCategory=1078

I saw one at the Anaconda sale last weekend, but they wanted $99 for it which I thought was a bit much. I see it is only $59 on the Aust website.

The idea looks excellent, but just wondered if anyone has any practical experience with one of these. I'd be putting it on top of my Dual-Fuel Coleman stove.

    Thanks
    David

Gday mate just bought one off ebay for $45, I am assuming you have foxtel anyways on how to channel is a show called THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN DOORSTEP which is sponsored by coleman and they do a cooking segment which they usually use it for baking and making dampers. Google the show name and it has the video segments on the web site. It would be good for times like today when you cant have a fire in most parts of nsw or S.E australia anyways.

Used it every winter for the past 5 or 6 years.

Nothing like a hot meat pie followed by jam donuts during a cold (very cold) day on Jindabyne/Dartmouth/Tantangara or Eucumbene.

Just need to keep it out of the wind.

Glad to hear they actually work. I have quite a few bits of gear that sounded good but didn't live up to the promise and consequently just clog up my shed, so thought I'd check this one out first.

Thanks for that - I'll do a Google on that show.

We have one of these ovens and they do work well. Good for pizza's and such.
You need to buy/make an extra shelf in it tho as it only comes with one. Or ours did anyway. But they do seem to work well
