We do a joint effort at our place. Firstly we buy a "chateau Cardboard" cask wine , then my wife proceeds to empty it for me over a day or so, then when it is empty we remove the bladder from inside the cardboard container, fill it with water (the tap pops in and out) and freeze it.
Voila, solid ice contained in an insulated silver bag that can be moulded to whatever shape one's little heart desires, doesn't leak when it thaws, and can be used over and over.
Some times the work load has become a little much for the wife, so in these special cases I have been known to assist her once or twice.
Regards
Glen
