If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
I have had mine (same as yours) for over a year now, I don't like the way the middle pole is retained, you only have to bump it and it comes adrift. I always set mine up on a small tarp and those lock together sponge type rubber mats, keeps the cold and damp out and gives a bit more cushioning. Keeps you warm in the coldest weather, my only gripe is that as I'm getting older I find it hard to get up off the ground, so now I set it up on a camp stretcher and find it a lot easier to get in and out of, keep it well away from sparks from the campfire, a good quality swag nonetheless, Regards Frank.
i have a roll of the building foil (blue on one side and silver on the other)and i lay it silver side down that works a treat at keeping the cold out
I have one very similar but a different brand and as Dave said they have heaps of room
I roll mine out in the back of the swag most of the time these days![]()
dirt, ive had the same swag for years. done me well. i still use it when i go out by myself, but recently bought a double from rays for me and the missus. wish now i had spent the extra money and bought another mitchell in double. havent been happy with it!
i have the same swag and find its great![]()
Well I will jump in and give a different view.
I've got to ask the question: Why do you blokes set up a swag like that when it would be just as easy to set up a small centre pole tent?
Fair dinkum, the notion of a swag has one distinct advantage over tents, shelters etc and that is .........
simplicity.
Undo the straps, kick it - and it unrolls - get in and go to sleep.
