The downside is that it is a bit larger and heavier than the 10i, which really only is a problem when moving the generator a lot. The 10i is a great size and weight but struggles to drive larger power tools, but would run lights and camp fridges no problem. If you can save $$$'s by buying a kippor generator then check them out, they do seem pretty similar and I'm sure the warranty would be similar. My Honda has suffered some heavy beatings over time as it has rolled around the back of work vehicles, the plastics on it are fairly beaten and cracked in some places which visually looks bad, but it has never let me down and always runs smoothly.
    Cheers matt
My 1 kva Kirpor was in the back of my son's Diahatsu Rocky when he rolled it (at speed) it bulged the side of the drivers side panel outwards about 150mm, the genny was unmarked and fired up OK when I got it home, tough little bugger, Regards Frank.

    Your choice.

As a guide for usage we have a 30amp 3 Stage charger installed in the boat – at it’s full output it draws just over 550w (at 240V), a Honda 1 runs it with out problem.
If we used a 2 the auto throttle would provide a quieter operation because it not working as hard therefore running at lower throttle setting..

I do agree with OMGIU on this one. Honda have built up their name over many years. We've got a Honda fire pump that gets started once a year at the beginning of the fire season, and every year it starts on the 1st or 2nd pull of the rope.

The other brand might look the same, but it's like putting on cheap non-genuine parts on your Landie, they're generally not "quite" as good as OEM.

    I bought a EU20i on friday.
The Honda Shop is doing a special at the moment.$1990 with a 14W solar panel, security cable and 5 year warranty.I got an extra solar panel to give me the 2 new 14W panels and the 2 x 37W panels I already have.
Im running the generator in at the moment,it isnt much louder than I remember Grazs EU10i being. It has the 80lt engel on freeze,a porta-flood light and its charging BlackBettys batteries up.I switched it to economy and it will still run the gear plugged in at about half the revs its doing.Back up to full revs for the run in.

    Hi Guys
Got some EXCELLENT info from member Omgiu on the fuel/oil for these gen sets.
When I bought mine the salesman told me no premium fuel and no synthetic oil.
He didnt and couldnt say why so I sent a PM off to Greg.We had a chat over the telling bone.
PULP burns too hot,Synthetics dont suit pushrod engines was the basic answer.Use Honda oil and look after your warranty was the advice.
    Thanks Greg.
