Can't remember if I've already asked, but do any of you transport the stove with fuel still in it? If so, how long does unleaded and shellite last?

I transport mine full. I do release the pressure in it beforehand though.
Yeah, just let the pressure out and leave it full. I've got 3 year old Shellite that still works fine. :)
ours is for sale:p
I hate it, so you might need to convince Vanessa:)
$100.00 it is yours :)

I am happy to leave it full of fuel and pressurised. It's only leaked once or twice when I forgot to shut the valve fully. I have never payed much attention to fuel usuage. I carry about 5l which seems to last for ever. If it's a weekend trip just the stove tank is enough for basic use.
I leave the fuel in mine all the time, but usually let the pressure out before packing up. Only time mine leaks is occasionally through the gland seal on the valve when first used after sitting for a while. A quick nip on the gland nut seals it up again. I usually only take a 1L bottle of shellite with me, and whatever is is left in the tank.

Mine also leaks from the gland in the valve. The nut is done up all the way. Does anyone know that the packing material is, so I can add some more?
Don.
I pulled the valve stem out today. there's no packing as such, only a couple of o rings. The blue one has a chunk out of it,so I suppose that's the problem. I'll try to get a replacement.

Any idea where ... the coleman site parts list shows you needing to buy the whole valve and generator as one piece.
I just need to replace the o-rings (mine completely disintegrated so I don't know what size it is to buy at the local bearing shop).
If anyone can advise on the specs of the o-rings that would be great.
