this is a link to the guys ebay store.
Dreamrider Store items - Get great deals on items on eBay Stores!
freight to melb looks like it costs about $80 ish but waiting for the official quote to be emailed to me.
There physical store location is in Mullimbimby QLD
Mine is still working fine after nearly 2 1/2 years - low power consumption.
I just wish the ebay fridges came with an insulated cover - what they call an insulated cover is far from it - bit of canvas with a silver lining - no actual insulation.
Garry
Good to hear Gary.
i dont think it would be too hard to make up one , or get someone to make up a good cover for them?
Update:
fridge arrived today.......damaged
Looks like something penetrated the cardboard box and punched in one of the front corners and also broke both hinges.
Emailed them (Dreamrider) today with pics, lets see how good there customer service is.......
delivery was quick though, about 4 working days.
stay tuned
UPDATE #2
Replacement fridge arrived today - no damage on this one.
Ive got to say the re-supply of the new fridge was relatively painless and kudos to dreamliner for making it that way.
I had a play today and put a data logger in the fridge compartment to see how well it cooled.
Ambient temp was about 25 deg C in the office. I cranked both thermostats to the coldest settings. Both compartments empty
Here are the result - im pretty impressed
in summary 25 deg to -17 deg C in approx 1 hour. It reached -21 a little while after I removed the datalogger.
The solid red line is the temperature, you can ignore the rest. THe spike at the end of the graph is when i removed the datalogger from the fridge and connected it to the compter.

on the way home when the fridge was off i was keen to see how well it held its temp - again nothing in the fridge and ambient temp was similar.

Thought it would have been a little better given the amont of insulation but once ou put product in the fridge it will have a much larger themal mass and hold temps for longer.
UPDATE # 3
Internal and External pics
Transit cover is really only that and has very little insulation . paddin between the black outer and reflective silver inner. For a cheap fridge you wouldnt really expect an equivalent Engel type canvas cover. I doubt this will last a long time, particularly the zipper.

Hinges are defiately robust enough but will be annoying opening and closing if you drink fast ! but who would latch it back up unless you were on the move. The hinges on mine were set a little loose and didnt pull the lid down firmly, but a little persuasion with some pliers will rectify that.

internal lids, not a big fan but im sure they serve a purpose and keep the freezer cold when you just want stuff from the fridge section

Fridge and freezer compartments
fridge is 55 litres, freezer is 25 litres - ample room and baskets make it easier to find and remove food quickly.

Externals of the unit are good looking enough, not that you would have it out of the transit bag that often. The stainless outer marks easily and would dent easily given a sharp hit, but really who cares as long as it keeps the beers ice cold.

Dual temp controllers - havent tested these out too much yet but seem to function well at this stage.

Internals - looks neat and everything is tucked out of harms way. Relatively well put together id say, but im no refrigeration mechanic. Most screws have been glued to stop them rattling loose which is a nice touch.

So far so good. For $560 delivered, im well ahead, but time will be the ultimate test.
Im looking forward to putting it to the test in the not too distant future.
Cheers

UPDATE #4.
The frige just came back from a melb to darwin road trip (in the back of the ute) .... Sadly without me. Ran a treat all the way by all accounts, and is still running. Great on battery economy and appart from a little red dust on the outer jacket, it's as good as gold.

Check for red dust in the inner workings - the fan sucks it in.
