    Wiring size calculator

This site will help you on determining wire size.

    DC Cable Sizing Tool - Wire Size Calculator - MM2 & AWG - solar-wind.co.uk

Remember to double the distance from the battery to the frig to take account of the return earth path. Always oversize 12v DC wiring rather than saving a few dollars by going a wire size down.

On the fuse size, I'd suggest 50% above the maximum stated current draw.

    Hot Wiring

I have in the past watched as the ARB etc type plugs let the fridge down. I now use a marine S/S plug and have no problems. They are only about $14 and well worth the investment. They screw together and have a large and small male piece making it easy. I have found no power loss to the fridge.
