You can get new aftermarket from the UK Rimmer Bros.
Electronic Components - Efi at www.rimmerbros.co.uk
Pretty expensive.
Just a suggestion. Early 80s BMWs also have a similar flapper, so maybe see if a 733 flapper will fit.

Make sure you reinstall the MAF with an anti-backfire device like the one in the picture. You will have to shift the MAF mountings to get it to fit. A 70mm metal version will set you back around $80. The plastic ones are rubbish, the flap dislodges when hit by a backfire.
Next change your timing to 10 degrees BTDC and gap the plugs to 0.7mm maximum. Make sure the heat range is correct for gas, NGK BPR6ES or Bosch WR7DC+. You may need an ignition upgrade, I have developed a Bosch based amplifier/coil conversion which is quite cheap and reliable. There are other things like the condition of your leads and rotor/cap. I use the Bosch leads, they have been very reliable. Make sure your leads are well separated, not bundled.
thanks heaps..id love one, if thats ok.....gota head up to the border after the easter madness ends, ill pm you my email address/phone number later tonight .....
re the plugs/leads there all fine and seperated, it didnt seem to backfire untill after the maf disengaged from the ducting to the lpg mixer eg total loss of power / throttle imput , engine dies off then boom!!! , i hope once the "falling off" is resolved the problem will end......
thanks for the anti b f idea bee utey, i hadnt seen that before, where can u get one from ?
figure it may pay to look into the ignition as well , whats the bosh setup you run?
I get my backfire valves from Mega Gas Australia in Adelaide, but you might be able to get one through a local supplier. I can't recall what brand it is, it might be BRC.
The Bosch conversion I do is in this post: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/technical-...sch-024-a.html
PM me if you want help with getting this stuff.
