    1981/1982 4 door CKD RRC

does anyone else on the site have an 82 4 door CKD?

or know of one that they could take some pics of?

there are some interesting differences in exterior trim on mine and would like to confirm that it is a CKD thing..

eg: on the door exterior window rubber seal /trim

Completely Knocked Down = kit of parts sent to Oz to be built into a car, in this case, a Rangie.

I have just had an '82 Rangie 4 door in pretty poor condition dropped in my yard at work. It is destined for scrap at this stage. I know little about Rangies let alone this vintage. The interior is scrappy, head lining collapsed, seats falling apart.
Looks like twin Strombergs on an alloy V8. Ignition has parts missing, so it is a non runner.

The chassis looks pretty rusty as do most suspension components. The body panels look intact and generally straight. It has flares and a non std steel bullbar and steel rear bumper with step.

Question. Is is worth anything but parts?

If it is of any use for now, I can take pics for your CKD query. I have no ID but the Vin plate ( it fell off when I touched it ) SALLHAMVIAF/503669 8/82 BUILD

If the information in the book "Range Rover - A History" is correct; the local CKD assembly ended in 1983.
The "F" in the VIN number indicate Range Rover CKD vehicle
So you maybe have one from the last production year.

Are you able to provide a picture of the VIN plate ?

I do not have a picture , but one way that you can tell is that a fair proportion were painted in Holden colours especially light green metallic, and AFAIR another red? metallic. Several of the 2 doors at least also were painted traffic yellow as LRA had some paint left over from an RTA contract.
So if any of you have cars like that odds on it is CKD.
