Megajolt LT jr turned up today WOO HOO

    G,Day guys

My Megajolt kit arrived today from the UK so I will have a go at fitting it on the weekend. It dosnt look that hard to wire up/fit but Im not so sure about the mapping of the megajolt with the PC once its all done

It will be good to get rid of the pain in the a*** dizzy (no more coughing and farting at the sight of water). How good will that be, a Range Rover thats ignition system works under water. WOO HOO

Happy to post up some pics of the install if anyone is interested.

    Cheers Gavin

Cool, did it come with the edis module? Have a look on the megasquirt site - there should be a base map for a rangie on there somewhere.

i have converted my disco to a full fuel and ignition megasquirt setup using EDIS coils, its excellent, the standard ignition used to hiccup when going through a puddle at speed, with EDIS they are damn near waterproof!

i have some pics of my install if you want an idea of where to mount your coil packs?

    Good stuff.

Doing the full trigger wheel EDIS set up I assume? Interested in doing this with the mooring block in my POS. Pics and prices would be good.

    cheers, DL

it is an old pic, and the engine bay was filthy but it should show you how i did it

i made a bracket to mount on the water pump out of 10mm aluminium plate (a bit overkill maybe)

my EDIS module is mounted on the left hand side, next to the charcoal canister

PS. i have since re-arranged the plug leads much neater

another vote for lr4x4.com, it is very helpful
also msefi.com, and less so msextra.com forums (it is more specialised towards megasquirt, but it might help you out with fine tuning)

    G,Day guys

Thanks for the pics JazzaD1. I have seen the posts on LR4x4s site, got some good info from it also searched google on the subject. (you might get a PM when it comes time to start it up)

The kit I got came from Trigger-Wheels. It came with 2x coil packs, H/T leads, PC download cable, Megajolt LT jr, EDIS8, wiring, VR sensor & bracket, mounting bracket for coils, trigger wheel & spacers, tacho driver and software, every thing you need.

Im thinking of mounting the coils on the side of the plenum (up nice and high) and the EDIS8 down near the front left headlight (where the coil once was) or on the fire wall, not sure yet.

350RRC I bought 2 kits, one for me and one for a mates Disco and we paid about $650.00 Aus for the kits landed. Took 5 days to get here form the UK via courier.

Chris & Catherine at trigger wheels are fantastic to deal with and very help full 10/10.

I will take/post some pic once I start.

    Cheers Gavin

Sorry thats $650.00 each kit, not the two (would have been nice if it was $650 for the two)
