Thats nice.
Funny how these cars depreciate by so much.
Would have cost over $100k when new.
Seems to be a few nice Classics coming out of the woodwork down here in New Zealand.
Have a look: Land Rover Range Rover Vouge 4.2 LSE 1995 for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand
Mine is the same colour, but a 1995 'poverty pack' with cloth seats and no fancy electrics![]()

What is that asking price in real money?
We never got the 4.2 V8 here in Australia, why did NZ get it?
G`day
You Kiwis get all the stuff that`s going , be good if we got as much here .
That is the first and only Soft dash i`ve seen that doesn`t have SRS , i knew from the parts manual that they existed but your link is the first proof i`ve seen .
Your " poverty pack " is of interest also as we didn`t get them here .
If your able could you post some pics of yours please and is your also 4.2ltr .
Also i`d be interested in the seeing VIN letters not the numbers only the letters from yours ,if it`s not a problem .
Most interesting thing i`ve seen for awhile .
Cheers
Peter

Airbags.
Yep as BigJon says Airbags .
Had a bit of a look through and it seems the NZ spec is for no SRS , here in AU we don`t have a choice they all have airbags .
I had a feeling the front bumper over rides had little to do with SRS or the firing of the bags and because they are fitted to the NZ cars without SRS
i`ll look into it a bit more .
I remember reading something about them being a US thing for low impacts and nothing to do with SRS .
The pics i`d like to see of yours are under bonnet and interior if possible the outsde appears the same as the ones here .
We have an LSE softy , i don`t think a non owner would have noticed the lack of SRS .
Cheers
The small bumper overiders were fitted for the benefit of the airbag deployment, they were fitted to give a bit of "give" in an otherwise solid chassis vehicle, if they weren't there the airbags would fire in very minor collisions and at the wrong time in a heavier collision.
If they were fitted to non airbag vehicles, its probably because it would cost more to take them off the chassis than to leave them on for mass production puposes.
Hi ,
thanks for that , i have no problem with the bit of "give " part as i agree that is the reason they are there .
Can you tell me where you got the rest of your information from?
I have searched through the classic MA Factory RR manual and in the SRS section there is no mention of the over riders being part of the SRS system .
There are no special fitting instructions concerning SRS and none in general , relating to the over riders .
I`ve checked the Factory times for fitting things and there is no special mention of the over riders .
I can`t find it at present but i have further information on bag depoyment somewhere and if i remember right the bags only work in a frontal impact that is less than 30 degees off center .
I surmise that if a pole was hit in the centre of the bumper either side of the over riders the bags would go off and the over riders could still be intact , ergo the over riders have nothing to do with the SRS .
If you have anything different that i can read i`d like to do that please but as it stands i don`t see how the over riders can have any effect on the SRS .
Cheers
Peter .
I had a classic RR right through the '90's and as a member of the RR club had access to all sorts of experts etc and thats what we where told at launch as the reason for the overrider's.
If you hit a pole in the center of the front of the vehicle it would have a lot more give as you weren't hitting the chassis rails head on where the overrider's where fitted, you would be bending a lot of other stuff like the crossmembers etc.
The triggers for airbags are very sensitive and need to be set off at exactly the right time to be effective.
