Has anybody done a 2-door traytop conversion. The only ones I've seen are converted 4-door's, or styleside which I'm not sold on.
Wanna breathe some new life into the old girl.![]()
here is my 1975 2 door.
mostly stock apart from dual batteries set up and performance industries rims, and the hella spotlights. i had it on the beach and some sandy tracks, after being a subaru owner for years i was pleasantly surprised with how well it coped.
i recently bought it cheaply and had plans for it as a bush bahser, but i since owning it, its got a grip on me and i cant let myself destroy it.
to get 31" tyres on it, is it best to go with a 2" suspension or body lift?
can anybody recommend a good kit for it?
The rims it has don't look to me like to have good offset for offroad, is it better to get a set of sunraiseres for her?
Heres my rangie in action at kurrajong heights today.
Sorry about phone quality the camera died.
Just stick a 2" suspension lift on her and you should be right. Or even a 3" suspension lift and no body lift, you should be able to fit 33s i'd imagine. Mine is 3" lifted with a 2" BL and HEAPS of guard cutting and has room for 37s. Not sure if you want to cut yours up though, looks too neat to cut!
Is that the one Peter from RangeParts sold a few weeks ago?
You should be able to run 31" tyres as is. I have 7.50/16s on my 4 door & just needed to dress the flange at the front of the rear wheel arch. You won't have that problem being a 2 door. I catch the very front lower edge of the wheelarch if I'm really flexed up & turn at the same time but that's fairly rare.
I just have standard RR wheels (7" alloys).
