Fit a metal cylinder type air cleaner from a 91-93 RRC or Disco 3.5-3.9, then plumb up the snorkel to that. You could make your own can if you are handy but the RRC can is off-the-shelf.

Im running out of time before i head to the cape, i need to track down an original air box so i have something to plumb in to as my k&n filter wont do.

Will definately cover everything with WD40 or similar & use a tarp though.

My pleasure. KLR Automotive in Western Sydney had some tube bent up using mine as a sample. I don't know if they still have any.

Thanks guys for all the advice

I got the bent bit of pipe from KLR & a new airbox

I bought some calor flexi hose from pirtek

I got a snorkel head from truckline

I got the airbox modified & welded a bracket to the pipe.

I installed it yesterday & have attached a pic of the installation in progress, i will post some of the finished probuct soon.

    Cheers Sean

The hole in the decker looks very neat.
How are you going to attach the pipe to the A pillar. I suggest welding on 2 or 3 tags and using stainless self tappers.
