G'day Guys,
I know it's been done to death - I've just spent hours reading all the threads, But.......
I'm looking for some opinions & reassurance that what I'm proposing is reasonable, particularly those with similar set ups, so here goes.
I have a Classic 1988 Duel fuel 3.9 with front & rear bars, no winch (it's on the wish list).
Most of the work done by the vehicle currently, is towing the boat to the ramp.
I want to be confident that it is set up to take on reasonably difficult tracks as well as look the part whilst retaining the Range Rover ride & still being able to tow.
It would appear that the mod's done by Telf RRC last year, is what would suit my purposes.
I would like to know:-
1. peoples opinions on What springs I should go for for a 2 inch lift
2. Can i use the standard rear springs in the front & just replace the rears?
3. where one would go to find 0 offset rims?
4. Do you need 16x8 rims for 265/75 16's?
5. confirmation that 80 series shocks are OK for the lift?
Thanks in advance
contact suspension stuff for $700 you can get a set of shocks and springs.
only one person I know of has complained about a complete kit that he purchased from them and his complaint was that he had to sell them before he had chance to fit them because he ran into severe financial troubles.
I've had some complaints about some of the shocks being a bit too stiff or too soft for the setup the person was aiming for. on a couple they had been supplied with the harsher sprung shocks that deal with the extra weight of after market accessories (barwork, winch DBS) when they werent fitted, and of getting the softer ones when they were. I believe that the default valving is slightly too stiff for a completely stock vehicle because the assumption is that if you are doing the lift you would already have at least the winch compatible front bar because your planning on using it off road.
