    93 RRC fuses/elec

    Hi all,
Have myself a new project, a 93 RRC

runs on LPG but no fuel coming the injector line.
do any of the relays stop the fuel coming through
Ive reset the black box under the passenger seat.
can hear the fuel pump humming at the tank, any theories on that??

Also no power to the wipers, am/fm radio or clock, i cant see a fuse for any of these in the fuse compartment, is there somewhere else they are hiding.
    any help appreciated thanx

    Luke

Congrats ... and yes you do

no fuel coming the injector line? .... Have you depressed the valve in the drivers side of the injector fuel line ... If yes ... Try again via disconnecting the fuel line ... As maybe the pump runs, but it makes no pressure

Fuses .... Did you get the owners manual with the ride?

    Cheers

Thanks Mike, no manual with my ride but it did have the radio/cd stacker manual with it, which is still in the car,not sure if it operates, haven't fiddled with that yet!
found that the fuse for the interior light also covers the clock, radio, central locking & maybe the rear wiper, funny it started to work after the new fuse was put in!

still yet to sort out the fuel problem, have to check out the pump i think.

    Hey Luke,

There is also a place where there are fusible links on the 93 and that is next to the battery. This is where the main battery cable joins to all the other power fed wires from the cabin. It's covered in like a black heshon bag. Might be a good idea to inspect this as mine was badly corroded, causing me a few funny electrical problems.

    Cheers

On the subject of .... fuel pump hums / No fuel pressure tho ....

I take it that the previous owner ran LPG full time .... check that the fuel filter (in the rear drivers wheel arch) isn't blocked

Beeutey will know better than I , but AFAIK all LPG conversions turn off the injectors on switch over.
Maybe the relay is not switching them back on.

    Basic testing:

Fuel pump running with the engine running on gas, yes/no. Listen at the petrol filler if you need to.
Fuel pressure, engine running on gas, test at schrader valve on fuel rail, yes/no
Ignition key on, petrol selected, 12V power at any injector plugs yes/no
Running on gas, 12V at any fuel injector plugs yes/no
White/black stripe wire tight and connected to ignition coil negative terminal yes/no

Look for an injector cut relay, it will be fitted to the injection loom somewhere between the engine and ECU.

Once you have reported back on those tests, diagnosis by remote dowsing can begin.

.... Try this for giggles ...

Unplug the wired connection at the MAF, and then see if it will run on petrol

Let me know how that went ....

having trouble locating the injector cut relay
I have RAVE but from 95, so it only has the soft dash which looks to be different

Im thinking maybe gas /petrol switch??
