Pitty you want it up there -you are in the wrong part of the world for me..
If things get moved to Melbourne for some reason, sing out...![]()
G'day folks
My name's Rob and when I'm not swinging spanners on my Disco I'm busy working on Overlander 4WD Magazine.
We're after a Classic Rangie owner to join us one day next week as we put the new Range Rover Sport through its paces.
The right Rangie will be a four door with basic touring modifications (e.g mild lift, all-terrains, basic barwork, etc). We're Sydney based so the drive will happen in or around this part of the world.
This will be the one of the major features of this issue (10 pages worth!) so if you're keen to get your Rangie in the pages of Overlander drop us a line at editorial@overlander.com.au
Thanks everyone!

Surely the objective is to feature the RR Sport... and not show it up by 'endeavouring' to compare it to an RR Classic. Best you get a fully worked P38 for the this comparison... unfortunately Sydney is a wee bit of a drive for us west ozzies.
Thanks to everyone who has responded so far!
Keep sending your Rangies in as we've got a couple of contenders but we'd love to see more and of course there are a few mad keen Land Rover fans in the office who wanna see some tough Rovers!
Gosh, would'nt it be funny if the Classic out-performs the Wuss-Wagon in the REAL world...![]()
It may not out-perform it in comfort or out right performance but in ability, I can see and up set looming.
Which would I rather have if both keys were offered to me?Hmmm --The sport I would think.![]()
Is it a like for like comparison? I thought the Sport was road-biased? Maybe the Range Rover Vogue would be a more accurate comparison?
Cheers,
Stu

I can't see the point in comparing modified to unmodified because there is no constant factory manufactured base line on which to make valid comparisons of the models or of how things have changed for the better or worse over the years. It's either both are modded or both are standard.
