The ultimate RR Classic?

I bought mine as a stock '89 on dual fuel a year ago, it is slightly different now to how I remember them being built in the factory! :D

Now stands at having:
4.6 cross bolted bolt with Motec ecu, forged bottom end.
Maxi-drive front and rear axles and lockers
Castor corrected hubs
3" lift
Flares
33's
Modded ARB rear bar (still needs rear wheel carrier :()
Custom front bar with 12000lb winch
Extended 'A' frame ball joint

Goes like stink (for a RRC), outstanding ability out in the bush, and cheaper to run than the old 3.5..... oh, and it's my daily driver.:p

What happened to the 'donor' Rangie Dave?? :angel::wasntme:

The silver donor is now metallic grey, stock as..... well, still has the body lift in it.:p
My old dears are going to use it when they visit for 3 months.:D

Well since we are talking classics.
I have a rare beast a fully engineered road registered ritters conversion 5 litre 308 Holden which comes with the 727 torque flits Chrysler transmission. A energy sapping tranny but very strong and with a 308 it still has heaps of grunt particularly off road situations. Down hill is the only area of weakness.....but one learns to adapt ones drivng style with the lt230 bieng a strong reliable transfer case . Has LPG gas conversion runs a 2 inch suspension maxi drive rear end 32 inch maxis mud terrains.rally seats saas.has a 91 rr roof incorporating a glass sliding sunroof.arb bullbar arb rear step bar with spare wheel carrier. twin batteries alloy radiator.rock sliders.
I have owned it almost 7 years and I love it.its a still a work in progress believe it or not looking at a lt 230 with reduction gears either 30 or 49%.
It runs electronic ignition as per pan cake distributor. In a word super reliable,super strong and the 5 litre is a brilliant old motor bags of cheap spares and oodles of torque rarely use more than 2000 rpm.The original 727 blew up and I got a replacement for wait for it $100 off eBay.....and it had been fully recoed. The bloke selling it didn't realise the value his loss my gain. Not great on fuel but I didn't buy it for that. I put the gas on. the gas makes it affordable. it runs better on petrol as it runs high compression and does not like the low octane rated fuel.
I have owned 6 rr's over the years and this is the best one apart from the 80 model which had a modified P76 manual on gas. Reliability is king with the current setup.

From memory yours would be a 4 Door classic and Ritter's reworked the interior, suspension and braking to produce a very nice package.

Weren't cheap either, and I believe that (Ritter's) sourced the 5 Ltre from Peter Brock workshop at the time.

"Best" is very subjective - best for what?

But I LOVED mine and, much to SWMBO's annoyance I say so every opportunity I get..... That air suspension was just glorious in its comfort.....

The Classic LSE was certainly better in driving position (for me) than a mate's P38 was.

I wish I'd never sold that bloody car.....
