Thread: 3.5 efi gauge senders

One down vertical into the manifold (but rearward of the 2 there) is temp sender for ECU
one down into the manifold (but closest to the rad of the 2 there) is ???? (i dont have a 3.5 here to check, possibly something to do with cold start? pos power to aux air valve?)
one into the thermostat housing is AC thermo fan sensor
one near the thermostat housing but horizontal into the manifold is single wire gauge temp sender

The two prongs on the thermostat housing are to turn the electric fans on if the engine gets hot.

The single wire sensor on the front of the manifold runs the temperature gauge ONLY.

The other one on the top of the manifold with an injector plug and two wires is the ECU temperature input.
Caveat is that I know 14CUX and Federal and the 3.5 was in between them, but I am pretty sure they are the same.( certainly the fans and gauge are for certain)

EAC1385 is listed as thermo time switch and ETC8496 as ECU temp sender

thermo time switch is for cold start injector.on the RH side of the manifold-only on flapper engine.control power for starting injector-shorter time when engine is hot.

AUX AIR VALVE gets direct voltage on mine.

No 12 has 2 options RE A/C-i was certian this was for the dash gauge.and would think there would be an option.

No32 is for A/C condencor fan operation when hot and is a lot better than on the latter cars.

I have seen some with the old 3 bolt water temp switch.Im guessing after market.
