Interesting re the driving lights up higher than the main headlights. I was pulled over for an on the spot roady by the cops, they made a point of about my driving lights being an excessive distance from my main headlights. I was then told that driving lights need to be at the same level as the main headlights. Not that on top of the bullbar stuff.
Would be interested on other peoples experiences with muliple driving lights.

And as for the HID conversions, I to am sick of being blinded by the DYI conversions and wish the police got out there and started booking the selfish people. And a ban on shops selling the kits

I paid about $100 for the pair landed from UK but that was about 3 or so years ago now.
I ordered two sets just incase and no I'm not parting with the other set

Ok then so you guys have sort of talked me out of the HID kits although the ones that are currently on the car are awesome and i can see other than the faulty ballast on one that just causes it to flash (which is annoying). So there are a few on ebay for sale which happen to be local, but whats the difference between the focal, projector and the crystal lensed light the crystal ones look good but not sure how much aim they have. But i will be getting HID spotties so i can see better when bush driving.

Crystal free forms refract and disperse at the lens not the glass so dispersion is not erratic like a glass refractor. This is one of the reasons HID will blind oncoming traffic as it scatters after the focal point.

Free forms will give a much sharper light pattern on the road and better focus at a distance beyond glass refracted lenses.

Get a headlight loom upgrade from Drivesafe. His website is Traxide here on AULRO. Check out the vendor links.

At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.
