    Which is more gooderer ! 93 RRC ABS or 93 D1 non-abs .

So I have the complete front diff / brakes setup off a 93RRC ABS with its ventilated Rotors , and a complete set up out of the 93 D1 .
So the 93RRC ABS uses top Railko and bottom bearing , the 93 D1 uses bearings both ends . Which is better (better for what ?) Both are twin brake hose arrangements .
The point is , which set of Spin housing balls shall I send off the LRA for the Camber adjustment mod ?

    Good question!
Who knows But I guess LR fitted the Railco to get a more accurate position for the tone ring vs the sensor after some wear, as earlier RRCs have bearings top and bottom. So maybe the bush, but what does it cost to rebuild one vs the bearing?
    I never knew this one.

Thanks Phillip A , and just to complicate matters a little further , ive got a a 24 spline diff and axle setup (but only the long side spin housing !!!)that came out of 96 D1 Non ABS (Didnt all D1 's have ABS by 1996 ?), so perhaps would like to fit them as well . Looks like what I really need is the spin housings / balls off a 95 to 98 D1 , but would a Non-abs or ABS be better ?
Will fit Ashcroft axles and CV's later on so it will end up non-ABS anyway .

I think the ones with bearings top and bottom are cheaper to overhaul (the bearings being cheaper than replacing bushes/pins).

If you're heading for upgraded axles/CV's later on, and you're not after ABS then consider the Rovingtracks (formerly Rovertracks) "Longtracks" axle/CV setup. Much cheaper than Ashcroft CV's and upgraded axles.

No. I have a plain jane 98 D1 that has no ABS, windbags or any variety of safety feature.

So was ABS more than likely optional on D1 's ? Maybe standard on D2's 1999 onwards ? So the rovingtracks CV's and axles are a lot cheaper ,are they just as good as the Ashcrofts ?

I've only had mine in for a couple of months, am only running 33's and haven't done anything extreme with them so I don't really have any personal experience good or bad. There are quite a few people on here running them, and I don't recall anyone having a breakage. Even those that are giving them a hard time with 35's etc.
For me, Rovingtracks axles and CV's for the same price as a pair of Ashcroft CV's (without axles) was the best deal.
