Possibly a vintage mobile phone kit. I've ripped a few out. How 'bout you trace the loom to where it's other end is connected?

The Car is a 1989 3.9 Auto RRC,

the strange thing is it is not pluged in, everything in the car works fine.

this iis a large unit around 80mm wide and the alloy unit is 80 x 150

I will try to download some pictures.

Under LH seat would usually be the ABS ECU if it's a RH drive car.

it might be for an option that was not fitted to your vehicle.

    suspects might include

    electric windows
    sunroof
    air bag

    memory for bums

    Hi Greenie

On the later 1993 RR, there is a 24 pin connector situated under the LHS seat, this connector is for memory seat ECU .
