regarding mounting, for mine, I used old school chev to rangie mounts as a guide. made up the block mounting plates lowered it into position made up some templates using cardboard, then we cut them out of 6-8mm plate and welded it together. For the actualy rubber moutns we used jag mounts which are similar to the rover ones just alot larger diameter and slightly thicker.

The mounts in my POS are similar to cal's, maybe a bit simpler. Already had been done when I bought it, can pm pics if anyone wants.

That is nearly exactly how we made the ones i posted. From 5ltr mounts chopped up and had the engine plate made.

Out with the old. Damn there is a lot of wiring in this thing. I think we lost about 10kg just in removing the old wiring.

Just a few pic updates.

Radiator is in. This was so easy to fit and was perfect. Its the whole radiator and fan assembly from a BF XR6 turbo. Only drilled two holes down the bottom and used the stock rubber mounts and then made custom brackets for the top. The bracket do look crude in the pic but has been cleaned up since.


And we have started make fill in plates for the fire wall. Here is the biggest hole above the passenger foot well. You can also see the LS1 engine loom coming through.

My God. I never thought "wiring" and "porn" could go together in the same sentence! Now I know what I must do to my awful Range Rover wiring . . .

I was going for the whole easy repair and fault finding if required in the middle of no where.
