does your wheels still have the original finish of them or have you hit the recesses with a coat of black paint, they def. look the goods.
I was considering getting mine lightly sandblasted, then putting grease on the raised surface, spray painting the whole wheel and wiping off the grease, rather then trying to mask the raised area. then polish them up.
When you take them in for a Pro-polish , they first take tyres of the rims, remove all weights valves etc.
They then stick the rims in a big Lathe type thing .They then spray them with some sort of paint remover stuff and remove all paint .They then soft blast them with soda I think .They etch prime the slots and spray with either gloss or matt depenging on what you want .Then the whole rims gets polished with a succession of 1600 grit wet and dry andwhat look like Straw wheels and buffing pads to alloy comes up like Chrome . Costs around $75 a wheel ,aint cheap ,but a top,long lasting finish.
Actually the Idea of doing the slots in the same color as the car doesnt sound to bad ,Photoshop it up using my photo !
I do remember having the Gold Cheviot Turbos on my Brown 110 county V8 ,they werent to bad.

It has an ARB sticker on it but I bought it out of the quokka some years ago for 400 bucks. I would like to cut it down by about 15mill as it does hit my garage door if I have the rear airbags pumped up and I forget:)Quote:

the rear spare wheeel carrier I made with my dads help. It can have 2 spare wheels or as you see it one spare wheel and a gerry can holder on the other side.
It was a copy of one I bought for my first rangie 78 mode..l from britparts in 1986
I also have a set of rims from a 98 disco that I also like but the offset would have been better if it was a little more sticking out as the wheels look to small with those fibergalss flares I have.
