Cheers!
Toluene is hard to get these days, something to do with it being a carcinogen from memory.
The trick to using a blade is a steady hand, patience and really good quality blades and this ancient purple stuff can be a bugger.
Lucky for me this was professionally installed and came off without a mark to the glass.
Angle of the blade is crucial and only using half the blade in a sweeping arc literally shaving the stuff in thin strips.
I still have the rear and rear side windows to do so I will have a shot at videoing it when i do them.

Why not do what the pro-tinters do . Down to Woolies for a bottle of Cloudy ammonia . Park car in sun ,get the glass temp up , spray liberally with the ammonia , simply peel off old stuff complete. POP

A mate suggested that shortly after I picked the old girl up and we tried it on a side window.
Apart from the overpowering smell after we used it it wasn't successful.
I searched youtube for a solution and that one came up a bit but it is of limited usefulness with some of the older tints.
I even peeled an edge and sprayed the ammonia between the glass and the tint and that wasn't too bad but it was quicker and cleaner to use the scraper for me.
Anyway its all cosmetic which im not so fussed about, I just wanted it off the glass lol

progress report...
All window tint removed as are any other stickers (Im fussy with stickers)
My AULRO Stickers arrived last week and i bought some service stickers at the same time and they will be the only stickers on the old girl!
Speedo doent work so im investigating that today and Im ordering a new speedo cable monday morning for the hell of it.
Fortunately I have a spare right angle drive unit as those suckers are still expensive and if that still doesn't work then im going digital with an after market unit.
My thanks to Narelle for all her help!

6 weeks in the garage without running, a bit of choke and she fired right up for a quick trip to the barn.
Im waiting on a few bits and pieces and warm weather to paint so im just doing body prep right now which is easier in the barn.
I did of course do a little sideways work in the front paddock where she cant get bogged but she was really ripping up the ground which makes a bigger mess so I quit after 4 or 5 laps lol
