The second picture shows a solid state in line electric fuel pump.
You should be able to pick one up from any auto store. Last time I picked one up it was about $80.00

Thanks for the input everyone.
Have ordered 2x Facet branded pumps from eBay.

Will have to give the area a good clean and tidy up while I'm under there!
and from memory the falcon pick up from the same era fit the rangie tank
perversely the commodore fuel pump was the one you wanted for an injected engine, at least in the discos they had an access panel in the floor.
The pump you have on the car is not the stock pump.
It is a solid state pump and there are many different brands and sizes.
Facet makes the OEM pump, and it is a larger cylindrical pump which ticks when going. Facet also makes a solid state pump and it may be one of those so have a clean and look.
I always used to replace the OEM Facet with another as they are very reliable , have the correct volume and pressure and fit perfectly.
It would probably be hard to do as it looks like the pipes have been stuffed around with.

I replaced the pump on my '86 RRCsome years ago with a Commodore V8 pump and mounted it outside the tank, replaced the original pump with a pickup pipe and rerouted the fuel hoses and wiring.
If you go to my gallery to modification stuff, pictures 12 and 13 show it.
The commodore pump is a lot cheaper than the RRC one and the modification makes any changeover into minutes although I never had a problem.
