    door locks & key barrels

    Outside door lock on the drivers has bent so i can't use it. Any temp fix until the new one arrives

    also can anything be done with old locks found out i can open (not lock it) with a screwdriver.
    Id prefer to keep the same key for the whole car so replacing the barrel is last resort

    Any barrel can be matched to your existing key but it is a fiddly job and I would not even attempt to explain it in writing. Essentially, the tumblers are ground so that they are flush to the outside of the barrel with the key in place (well there, I attempted it...).

    I did the exact thing on an 82 SD2. Very fiddly job and took forever, but it works. I had three barrels to draw parts from though.
