    Fuel line thread size?

    G'day,

Anyone know what size this thread is from my 93?...
    It's parallel and I measured 11.8mm x 1.0mm pitch and an 8.2 I.D.

Must be a trick of the photo, that looks Tapered...

But the sizes are unusual for BSP or NPT (I cant tell actual angle without gauge either)

If its straight as you say (dont forget it only reduces 1/16" per inch on BSP) then it would be M12x1.0...

    Thanks Tombie,
Yeah I just measured it again and it's not tapered except maybe for the very last thread which showed 11.88mm.
I used a thread gauge in one of those cheap tap and die sets to find the 1.0mm pitch.
It's a shame its crimped on...If I still had the 3.9 I would pull the rails off and take them to the shop to match it up from the female side but, alas the POS is gone

If it doesn't have a proper seat at 1 end then it has to be tapered, being the only way it can seal and it doesn't appear to have a seat at the hose end. It certainly looks tapered to me even though the open end is closest to the camera. Still, its likely to be 12mm seeing as LR started changing over to metric at least by 84.

I think it has an O-ringed male section on the fuel rail that fits inside the 8.2 I.D. Graeme.

There's a nut then an olive on the fuel rail pipe that seals against an internal taper of the fitting shown. I suspect it's the same kind of fitting at the fuel pump, an old pump would give you a suitable end.

    Cheers BeeUtey!
I just found this after a search and it says " requires nut and olive" which it lists here as M12...So I think we're onto something here!

I've got a couple of dead pump housings, PM me if you want a pipe and nut off one, should be cheap to post.
