    Manually depressurizing EAS system

    Hi

I need to replace my EAS compressor and stop valves in my 95 classic. Is there a way to manually depressurize the EAS system without using a Test Book.

    Cheers Steffan

    G`day ,

if you set it to access , that will deflate the bags and then undoing the bung a couple of turns on the tank will get the rest .

I`d suggest though if this is a problem you haven`t been able to figure then you should maybe look into EASunlock software and use a computer and make or buy a lead then you can do most things needed for any EAS things much like Testbook .

or if not an option it`s possible to do some basic stuff with pigtail wires .

Searching this site or Google , should give you easunlock .

    x2,

The bung has a channel cut into the last threads, so that it will stay safely IN the hole whilst draining air/water from the tank.

As stated if you are going to be working on the EAS you really need to get the free EAS unlock software and cable or an EAS kicker. You can get them from E-bay however HardRange.com sell a much better quality cable for a similar price with super helpful backup from Paul, they also sell all the o rings for the valve block and service parts for the compressor.
I have rebuilt both several times and would not consider the job without the software at hand
You can remove the compressor without de-pressurising the system as there is a one way valve before the compressor
