I blew up my rear diff

HI guys so I blew the rear diff in my 93 Rangie it's running 4sp auto and a disco lt230 transfer case, so my question is it bad to simply put the center lock in to drive it to get fixed?? Cheers

No problem with that, just don't go too fast or tow anything.

might be sensible to also take out the rear propshaft just incase something in the rear diff jams it reduces the chance of other damage

And rear axles should be pulled, Years ago, 10 now, after blowing a diff in a mates rangie, we were cruising home, then crunch and the wheels lock up as we had centre diff locked, when it imploded properly, it just halted, lucky we weren't moving to fast

Learnt to drop shaft and axles forever more
