3.5 Efi flapper specs (considering a swap to a ford lump)

My 3.5 flapper is rather tired, has done over 300k and really needs a rebuild or a replacement
Have looked at the 4.6 block conversion but then I thought about swapping engines altogether to a totally different unit.
The engine I'm considering is the uk ford cosworth 24v v6.
I can pick one up for around £350 and stick it in one of works parts containers (we ship loads of cosworth parts from the UK)
So to buy it would be very cheap, has more bhp than the 3.5 rover and around the same torque i believe. But i need the rover specs to compare where the torque comes in as it won't be much good if the v6 comes in much higher up the rev range.
    24v v6 specs are
    286NM @ 4250 RPM
    154.5KW @ 6000 RPM

If someone would be so kind as to post the 3.5 flapper specs that would be great

The Cosworth engine is a fine piece of machinery -but not ideal for a heavy 4wd application. The torque curve is too far to the "right"...you would be much better off with something that produces max torque around the 2500-3200rpm and max power around 4500-5000 rpm.

If you were to go ahead you would find that there was virtually no useful pull power below 3000 rpm... so you'd need to put a much lower (=higher numerical value) final drive in both diffs. Then you'd find yourself driving around the 3000+ rpm everywhere which I dare say would become quite tiring...

Dam it! I love the 24v motor aswell!
Ahhh well, I did have a feeling that would be the case hence me asking.
Just would of been so good to pop the bonnet and have such a lovely looking engine sitting there looking up at you.
    Thanks for the info mate

FWIW: once you start on the refurb path, the $$$$$$$$$$$ just pour out of your pocket as fast as you can earn them Transmission, drive train etc will all require attention no doubt .. a new engine with same or higher power/torque as orignial spec is going to stress the other components which have also grown tired...

    cheers

EDIT: HOWEVER: (there's always a "however"!) if you buy a new/near new vehicle, the $$$ depreciation losses over 2 yrs will be possibly a multiple of the $$$ to bring your 'flapper'back up to reasonable condition and therefore justifies fixing it up! (that's what I told the missus anyway!!!)

Actually, looking at a shiny engine it is one thing. LISTENING to a well tuned Cosworth screaming at max revs is "symphonic"
