spare wheel carrier, numberplate placement

looks like I might be no good in terms of clearance for install on the tailgate rather then the bar.

Mine sits further to the left.
You will also need extra tail lights and indicators. I have fitted LED ones to the top of my tailgate. Not strictly legal either, but better than nothing.

Below is My spare wheel carrier with the Jerry can holder and without. I Have had this setup on 2 rangies now for over 23 years and have never been questioned once about it when I have been pulled over for many random things from the boys in blue

saw something similar to this on the back of a pootrol. simple and easy to fab

played around in paint and came up with this.

This is basically what I made up for my RRC.
Has a plug for the lights, and 2 bolts so you can take the plate and bracket off to remove the spare wheel.
Just some scrap steel, some measuring, some drilling, tack welding, bolting and a little black paint... Looks Mickey Mouse :D
Had a few looks and questions... "Where can I get one like that?"
