Hello,
Can anyone tell me what exact size and font the Vogue decals are or scan for me their Vogue SE badge from their vehicle? My '93 had it's tailgate painted right before I bought it so doesn't have anything.
I've tried to buy one but even the places that say they have them in stock actually don't when you order.... So I'll make one.
Cheers.

Thanks James,
Thanks for the quick reply!
That's not a bad pic but it would certainly be good to get some actual measurements of it.
Cheers,
Pete.
Wot measuring stick would you like ,-- imperial, metric ...or Ems ???
Or try one inch high for the capital "E" - Can't get more accurate than that, have had eye exam and everything is glared out...
Metric pleaseor I can come down there and measure it meself. When you home James?
Cheated....
Made a pencil shadow-tracing on 80gsm paper, and measured the result.
Height of type is one inch, the capital 'S' is < 1/32" taller, which is required for visual correction...
Total length of the decal is 8 1/8" and the word Vogue is 5 1/2" long.
The gap between 'e' of Vogue and 'S' is 7/16"
For Your Info, the other decal on the pax. side (Electronic Air Suspension) is 8" long, by 3/4" high.
In measuring both, I've made a small allowance for shrinkage, distortion and fraying edges. - But I"m convinced that the scale is Imperial.
The only variable is the profile of the Vogue SE letters, they're raised with a flattened top surface. Electronic Air Suspension appears to be thinner, flat - surfaced.
I've taken the easy way out, and used the Legislated or 'Industrial' Inch... of 25.4 mm. The true conversion is closer to 25.398xxx mm. For precsion, the Yanks still use 1/39.37 of a metre, - but they call it a 'meter'.
If you need to be pedantic, then take 3 barleycorns, laid end to end....
Confused ?
Yes, PM me and you can come down from Mt Olympus to measure my meagre machine.![]()
Nice to meet you last night James and, thanks for the info! Bloody brilliant!
Once we get some of these decals made we'll have the right info to make more for anyone else too
Cheers,
Pete.
You're more than welcome
Very impressed with your engine, ah.... 'improvement' over original. - It looks every bit as good and better as your thread pics
And yes, I did notice the tyre-squeaks on each up-change...![]()
