Overfinch and some other companies in the uk made them. They were a bench seat that faced backwards and only really for kids and made for just two of them too.

I had a RR Classic with a forward facing dual seat in the back. It was there when I bought it 2nd hand.

Recommend you contact Murray@ Jag Rover Spares in Brisbane as I bought it from him and he is the one that had it fitted.

It does, of course, not leave much in the way of baggage room (although it did fold forward when not in use)

    Good luck,
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

My first Rangie, a 1984 2-door, had been professionally converted to an 8-seater with engineering report and rego. They had fitted a 4th set of seat belts to the 2nd row, which you could do okay with the earlier cars as the back seat was not contoured. The 3rd row was a rear-facing generic type dickie seat with lap-belts only. I sold the dickie seat for $50 when the kids outgrew it. The mounting consisted of 4 channel sections bolted to the floor with reinforcing plates under the floor, the base of the seat was attached to the mounts with clevis pins and R-clips so you could remove it when needed.
I reckon a series 2 discovery with original 7-seat option would be a much better way to go. getting the kids in & out via the Rangie tailgate was a pain.

A series 2 disco would be good but is out of my price range unfortunately, plus nothing looks quite as tough as a RRC.

    thanks.

My soft dash LSE originally had rear dual seat, forward facing, lap/sash seat belts; I fitted it and had it approved at same time when I did TD5 conversion, fitted extra fuel tank. All fittings/mounting points are still in it, but alas the seat was stored under the house and it was appreciated more by a family of rats; both long gone!
    Sorry can't remember the manufacturer.

Just a thought... how would the 3rd row go for headroom ?

    - Kids have this annoying tendency to grow (vertically) in sudden spurts...
