just got my '89 (4L donk, auto & BW) back on the road after 12 months on blocks
re- underbody paint with sound deadner and major suspension/steering overhaul
fitted new genuine bushes throughout with lovell +2" springs and 45 mm tough dog adjustables front and rear (set on position 1 on front and two on back untill whole thing settles in ) with adjustable steering damper (toughdog) and firestone air bags in rear coils (10-12 PSI)
fitted new AT Maxx 245/75 R16 coopers to oem rims (had to adjust steering stops a few mil to stop rubbing on radius arms) i was suprised as to how quite the tyres are on blacktop
running around 35psi cold front and rear
all this with great results, very good handling on road with minimal body roll and firm but smooth ride with full tank of fuel , recovery gear etc.
i intend to do a few more ride adjustments over the next few months to find the best practical average for touring.
anyone else used toughdogs 45's on their classic ?
