    1993 RRC Air Suspension Heights.

Here is an overlay picture of the three basic heights. It appears to be working quite nicely for a 20 year old.

I was struggling to get three layers to show clearly, the heights are most apparent looking at the front side indicator. It looks higher than it should as the previous owner fitted undersize tyres (225/70R16).

Well done ! (for 20 years old EAS) Must say, light colours seem to suit Classics.

Your tyre size is only marginally smaller than standard, barely 4mm shorter and a speedo error (in your favour) of 1.24 km/h

Standard size is 205 R 16, which is 82% aspect ratio.

I've got 235/70 R16's on my '95. - just because they came as Mates Rates and have a nice quiet road tread. These give me a 0.14% increased ciircumfrence and 0.1 km/h speedo error NOT in my favour...

Took all my figures from here:-

    Tyre size calculator

and here's the obligatory Wiki link...

These tyres don't really suit my usage anyway and I can't live with the white 3-spokes. The size isn't a problem from a usage view, but the 20mm smaller than the 225/75 BFG's makes them look a bit wrong. They'll be swapped back on when project is done and I sell the leftovers. I've got about four sets of wheels and tyres. I run small tyres compared to the average Aussie because I need clearance for snow chains. I'm about to order some 215/85R16's duratracs for mud and snow use. My SAT retreads have died of old age.

The longer term plan is body and air suspension from this one into my 4BD1T powered 85. This one will eventually be sold with coils, 3.9, auto and the 85 body.

This one was coughing and spluttering like a trebant when I got it and the air suspension was hanging over to one side.
The watershed moment came yesterday when I realised the battery was half empty. With more water and enough volts the EAS started to behave, with the EAS working I could drive it properly, the plugs burnt themselves clean and it started to run properly.

I've still got some electrical issues to sort out. Passengers seat isn't adjusting right, ignition barrell broken, rear centre stop light missing etc. I unplugged the MAF and no CEL, so that's probably blown a bulb too.
