Okay i'll go through these for ya...
Ranga:
Yes mate its bloody wet here. But I will never complain about rain though. Let us know when you are free..
VladTepes:
Hmmm yess.. Jolly good old chap. Haha:p
P.S. There are many wineries here. Within a 10km round about radius.
There is also a couple of caravan parks too
You'll all get a discount at them if you tell them about me.
benji:
Thanks for all these points. I need people like you to tell me these hints and tips.
I was actually going to run this idea past my solicitor one day and see what he reackons..
I already have a mud run. Just need some ideas for that too. It is seperated from the water course.
Fire permits are not a problem. I get them all the time.
Waiver sounds good. It's basic and not fool proof but it will be a start..:)
A little idea that might work is i give everyone a little book so they can do there own risk assesment on all tracks. Maybe if i'm there or someone in charge is with them on the day. The person who is about to undertake a certain track or task knows what the risks are e.g, Slopes, rocks, tree, logs bla bla bla and what can be done do lower the risks. Safety on these tracks will be taken seriously. Just an idea. It's simple and puts fair bit of responsibilty back onto the idividuals.
As for big events. Well i hope maybe one day;) but i want to keep it pretty low key for the start.
VladTepes
Hmm Discovery Park... I like it
Hard stand sites sound good i can do them. As for powered sites. I'm not saying i do or don't have them already if you know what i mean. I even have shower and toilet facilities...
I always supply fire wood. That's a given:)
Yep i got empty sheds for the nice 4WD's who don't want rock rain ruining there fun hehe
Yep that's what i need "word of mouth" to get this ball rolling.
blue_mini:
A forum only day sounds good. Good idea.
Insurance... Well i might run it past my broker.
In summary. The for most thing i want is it to be FUN! Safety first but equal fun. I have lived here all my life. I was born here and i want to stay here. I have been 4WD ing all my life since i could touch the pedals. I haven't always been passionate about it like some of you blokes. It's just always been a part of life for me. But through out my days working on this block i have winched, shoveled, chainsawed, pulled out with dozers and tractors my way around it. So i do have allot of knowledge i can share with people and help them.
So if this AULRO only day ever happens i'll have tons of gear there to help you all around :D:D
So cheers all you blokes!
I'm gunna have a rum now. I took me 45 mins to write all that ahaha:p
