Suprisingly the 3.9 is pretty good offroad fuel wise. We consistantly use less fuel than the 2.8 mitsu. Diesel; on sand and in the mountains. Different story on road though.
Where the diesel would be doing 3500 rpm we'd be doing 2200.

Looks like an even spread with about 19 litres/100 average. :eek:
