nice one! did it need much work to get it roadworthy?
My 1988 Classic passed the Victorian Roadworthy inspection today!
I can pick it up in the morning and then I'm off to VIC Roads to get it registered.
Christmas has come early!!
Yeah!

That's good news. Enjoy all the driving you're likely to do in the next few days.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
There was a reasonable list of things I had to do:
New springs and shocks to correct the body lean
New brake discs and pads all round
New wheel bearings
A tie rod end
The A frame ball joint on the rear axle
New gas lines and fittings
Relocate the fuel filter
I could do everything myself except the LPG gas related so I was able to keep the costs down to just the price of the spare parts.
Well done that man. Even more so that you were able to perform the work yourself.
Congratulations on having a roadworthy Rangie.
Enjoy the drive.
Cheers,
Richard
Patiently waiting for the right day and some work done to hopefully make the '75 in the same state!
Passed roadworthy this morning on my just purchased 2 door 82 classic.
List of items I had to do were:
Rear hubseal, reseal the sump and change oil and filter, wipers front and rear not working, washers front and rear not working, indicators not working, install air filters, rear shock rubbers bottom and top., some park lights, A frame bushes and tie rod end replacement. Surprised myself that I managed it all myself. Had the local exhaust people fix the exhaust at huge cost of $33!
Plan now is to renovate (not restore) including maybe 4.6 conversion with original Strombergs, a bit of work on interior and hopefully a respray.
did you work on it first fixing what you thought it needed before roadworthy? or did you just go for a test and they gave you a list of what to do?
He gave me a list of what to do.
