Maybe the AULRO courier service could help out.

Realistically .... the car is a toy right? Are you really going to travel with the Mrs in it on a day of extreme heat? I find the old Rangie great with the windows down ... and if real hot the upper part of the tailgate open.

It doesn't suffer the immense heat soak of modern cars that have the massively sloped huge windscreens that you sit under in the direct sun.

My '74' has the gauges where yours are and no repeaters on the sides of the front guards. Not sure when that changed. The gauges where yours are is getting rare and IME better.

Steering wheel is early, mine has been 'updated'. Tail lights are 2 door but that lasted till at least '81.

Your aircon is not original but I doubt it'll disappear.

What is the build year supposed to be?

Yes it is a toy, but one that will be used. I like having A/C and if I have it I like to actually feel the air myself!

    Correct, it won't.

I am pretty sure it is '76.

    Pride of the fleet

Big Jon ....sell it for 30K ....I think not, its taken you this long to find such a gem that that ain't going to happen

Plus your 2 door is actually more original than the one at Classic Throttle Shop if you look closely at it .... still nice, but I'd rather have yours (or mine) actually.

    Cheers

Amazing score Jon, well done! 2 door Rangies have become one of those cars that you would 'always regret selling' because they are such an investment. I will never sell mine, even though it is far from original.

Might I be so bold as to say that if your quarterlite window seals and belt moldings really are as good as they look in those photos, that all of us AULRO 2 door owners should band together and get them reproduced! :P
