Ok so tomorrow is work on the rangie day I have set it aside to focus on the beast and get here going again. I'm getting withdrawals not being able to drive her. I'm thinking put the old injectors back in and get her back to starting again then figure the problem from there.

Ok so first up checked tdc by taking off rocker cover all good but gasket broke to pieces so need a new one. From that I put the old injectors in the side that was staying constantly on and no change. My mate said I needed new injectors as the ones I got could of just been a scam better of with new and from someone in Australia. My thought is if it's doing the same as the refurbed ones I either have been scammed or there is something wrong electrically which is way out of my skill set. Can anyone assist or I'm going to have to find a mechanic that isn't land rover hater

Short answer, all 4 injectors on one side are connected to a yellow wire that runs back to the ECU. Determine which colour stripe the yellow wires have by peeling the boots back off the injector plugs. It will be either white or blue stripe.

Now that wire will have a short circuit to ground, so you have to inspect the EFI harness carefully along its length until you find the damage. At the ECU this wire will be a single one into the multi plug. If you have no sign of damage along the loom snip this wire near the ECU and try to start the vehicle on the remaining 4 cylinders. Your ECU may have an internal short if this fixes the constant flowing. You can also unplug the 4 injectors temporarily to see if it will run on the other 4.

A common problem with EFI V8 Landys is that they are either on gas, or have been on gas. The installers often make a mess of the wiring where they cut these two yellow wires and I'd be looking under the dash where the loom comes through the firewall. Any suspicious mess of electrical tape needs to be opened up and repaired properly.

Thanks it is a duel fuel. I will check under dash to see however I believe it has something to do with the dizzy as when I changed it to the newer model it wouldn't even fire. So I'm guessing something not connected right. However I will be checking what you said

Had a look under the dash and pulled out 2 boxes which are for the duel fuel and there is a nice bit of black tape around the wiring. I left it alone for now as I was more focused on sorting out the dizzy as it would start with the old one. Me and my son got the new dizzy and swapped out the internal plate for the old one to see if anything happened.

So now I am glad (actually over the moon ) that the rangie started fine. So yippee is in order. I just have to tidy up a few connections put the rocker cover on and give he a clean up.

Thanks everyone how had input. I still need to sort the fuel issue but now she starts so yippee

So I got it charged and she is foreign and starting on gas setting but don't have enough gas to keep it running. When I switch to fuel it does nothing so I'm closer to the issue.

    Any suggestions

Tow it (or get it towed) to a service station and fill it with gas.
