    Won't fire just winds over

So I replaced the dizzy last week and for some reason it won't start just winds over and over no kick at all. It's on tdc and rotor points to number one and it has spark and fuel. Any ideas it's a 3.9 Lucas efi

Are you sure you had it on tdc compression stroke, and not on overlap ( end of exhaust stroke)?

Yeah see that's what I'm thinking as I put it on the marks for tdc and put rotor pointing to 1. So maybe marks are wrong so tomorrow i will get tdc from cylinder to check

Just get a spanner on the crank and place your thumb over no1 plug hole and turn the engine a quarter turn over TDC. Pressure on thumb TDC firing , no pressure then oops 180 out.

Is the new dizzy wiring connected correctly? You getting a spark at the plugs?

Use the blowing into a hose into the plug hole trick on No1 like was suggested to me on here .......... It's the only thing that seemed to work reliably

What happened was I change the dizzy from a 35dm8 to a 35dlm8 which has the amp module on the side of dizzy and 2 plugs in a t type config and an earth plug near that. The original had 2 wires a red and a blue. So I cut them and took off the amp and connected the wires to the terminals behind the module.
