I take 5 then pls......m
I bought a 2 door like that earlier this year for $350 I bought off the forum, didn't plan on selling it but I ended up scoring another with a 4.4 in it. I ended up selling it as it was an impulse buy and didn't really need it. I have enough parts to build a couple more out of sitting in the paddock these days. Always on the lookout for 2 door Rangies with straight panels and complete running or not (I have the room and I am mental, been told many times over!!)

I'm constantly on the look out for 2Dr Classics for sale on either Gumtree or Car Sales and can't remember when I saw a nice original example for sale here in Perth.
Yes .... I've seen the odd rough example (mainly on east coast) that need a lot of work to restore them, many with interiors that are incomplete, are badly rusted and unless you have the room
and know how like dungarover to collect and rebuild them that's not an option for all of us.
If you look through this forum there are plenty of old threads where members have been looking for 2 Dr classics and talk about spending 5k plus to buy one and they need work.
As 100inch says if you can find me a good original 2dr for sale at 2K I'll take 5 as well.
Check out some of the English car sites and see what a 2Dr classic are selling for ......I'm not saying I pay the dollars they want for them but original good ones are rare and will not be cheap ......

p76rover,
Appreciate where you are coming from and yes the 2 dr does lend itself to be converted to a ute.
Personally ...... I would'nt do it but I respect that it's a personal decisions and there are some nice examples of 2 dr utes that still get around
My 2 dr was my first foray into Landrovers followed by a Disco.
The Disco's gone.....(sad) but I'll never part with my 2 dr classic...
Finally ....one thing I know for sure ......no matter what Toyo or Nissan bring out it will never be a classic :D
Cheers

nice car ! the 84 5 speed is a very special and highly desirable/collectable RR
hey OP (100 inch) did you by this car from a guy in Richmond?
I went to see it too.. Very charming guy almost too cool for school?
same one??
These mirrors look identical to the Toyota mirrors that I have on my 2 door.
The reason for this is that on bringing the car to Australia in 1982, I had to replace the convex mirror glass in the original mirrors with flat glass due to ADRs. This made the left hand mirror absolutely useless so I fitted larger Toyota mirrors as was common practice at that time.
how much do you think the 84 5 speed will be worth perfectly restored and in show condition?
