    Upper Tailgate

    Hi Gavin,
I know that you have resolved the issue now so what I am about to say will be six pennith of SFA but it might help somebody else.
I had the same problem as you when I installed a new rear upper window frame to my car. I ended up tracking down the problem which was the rubber across the top of the window, the rubber was binding on the top of the window frame and twisting it, so I smeared a light coating of rubber grease along the length of it where the frame comes in contact on closing.
Job done, opened and closed ok after that.

    Regards:-
    Patrick M

Quitea few years ago, was in the situation of tailgate replacement. Also went the kit route, bought the Famous Four alloy kit, came with all parts needed and clear instructions was quite straight forward to assemble and fit hardest part was getting old window out of very rusty frame without breaking. Been on for ~ 9years with no issues. Getting it adjusted to shut properly took a little time.
