It's normal for driver side to sit slightly higher.
i am wanting to get the 88 to the best possible ride in near standard trim.
am i better off with standard springs and re fitting a boge unit?
or is there another solution that does the job better.
it has king springs and billies fitted at the moment but it appears to be very slightly lower on the passenger side than the drivers side and i heard that dobinson springs are a better mix with the billies in the ride department?
any clue you can add on the subject or to the mix?
and on the best place to get an 88 boge unit at a sensible price?

Sorry for the thread hijack Inc, but while we're talking Boge levelling units, does anyone know of a repairer for these - I have had dozens of people say 'A guy in Queensland does them' but no one can ever give me a name or number. Is anyone still offering this service? If so, a name and number would be super.
Cheers - Gav.

As for springs, Les Richmond in Thomastown here in Victoria is very good at working out correct springs for Range Rovers. They stock a huge range of spring rates - standard to wild - and can work out what you need for each corner.

Are your springs on the right side, some brands have left and right side springs?
Almost every thread I have read on here say that billies are a stiff shock. I have spent the last two years trying to get my disco 1 to ride comfortable and have finally settled on Ride Pro or rox shocks comfort set and the ride is amazing.
I have even put in firmer springs to handle the weight of 2 weeks of camping gear and the ride is still great unloaded.
Try some other shocks before you swap out the springs.

It was Richo that had the boge leveller rebuilt recently. I'll see if I can find the thread. I bet his username here was JackAfrica.
